Fe/male Sexual Dysfunction

When you are experiencing concerns about your sexual functioning, we can assess your difficulties in terms of the sexual response cycle.

Low or no desire:

  • If this is your experience, you will find that you are simply not interested in sexual intimacy or you have less desire than you used to. This can cause concern for you and tension in your relationship.

Arousal difficulties:

  • When you don’t feel a sexual response in your body or maybe you begin to respond but can’t stay aroused.

Orgasm difficulties:

  • If you can’t orgasm, or can in some situations and not others you may be concerned about your sexual response.

Sexual Pain:

  • When you have pain during or after sex, you may find it difficult to enjoy sex and begin to avoid sexual intimacy. In some women, the muscles at the outer part of the vagina tighten when she attempts intercourse and this causes pain. Reactions to pain can cause problems in the pelvic floor muscles.

Vaginismus:

  • is a disorder of the pelvic floor muscles surrounding the vaginal canal. What occurs is the muscles spasm, making vaginal penetration extremely painful and in most cases virtually impossible.
